Saugatuck Boat Cruises
Situated on Lake Michigan (and named one of America’s Top 10 Lake Towns!), Saugatuck has been defined by water since its first days. From the layout of the streets to recreational activities, exploring the waterways and freshwater beaches of Saugatuck will allow you to get to truly know our town. If you’ve already discovered the world-famous sugar sand of Oval Beach, then it’s time to hit the Kalamazoo.
Since the 1860s, Kalamazoo has been used to launch boats because of its outlet into Lake Michigan just one mile west of Saugatuck. Its tranquil waters provided relaxing recreational opportunities for residents and guests. With Saugatuck Boat Cruises, you can sit back and relax as the Star of Saugatuck’s paddlewheels spin on the Kalamazoo River during a daytime or sunset cruise. Enjoy the view with the new perspective of Saugatuck in the day or savor the sight of sunset on the horizon of Lake Michigan. It’s also a wonderful tour to take in the autumn months as leaves change and paint the landscape in fiery colors that reflect in the waters of the river. Snack bars serve cold soda, water, beer, and wine, as well as chips or candy.
Saugatuck Boat Cruises is open daily through September 30th. Each trip lasts about 90 minutes.
