Pick Apples, Drink Wine and Enjoy Fall's Vibrant Colors in Saugatuck
It's that time of year when cozy fireplaces, farm-to-table artisanal cheeses, and flavorful wines and ciders call us to immerse ourselves in the colorful majesty of the fall season. Our region is rich in fall color tours and homegrown, wholesome ingredients harvested from our scenic rural lands and handcrafted by our farmers.
Reserve a picnic table on the lawn at Virtue Cider where you can enjoy a tasting of specialty brews and ciders and share exclusive small-batch bottles paired with locally curated cheeses and fruits. During your visit, stroll along trails and the shade garden on this working farm’s grounds. Starting Saturday, September 5th head to Crane Orchards in Fennville to pick Macintosh, Gala and Golden Supreme apples, tackle the seasonal 20-acre corn maze and sample their special apple cider doughnuts. Throughout September and October, take a 90-minute Wine on the Water Cruise aboard The Star of Saugatuck for a guided tasting by a Great Lakes wine expert while viewing the panorama of Lake Michigan and its fall-painted shorelines. During your stay, listen to live jazz and acoustic music and view eclectic art exhibits in festive outdoor venues. Detailed event information may be found on the Saugatuck Douglas website.
We look forward to hosting you at our luxury bed and breakfast located at the gateway of Saugatuck's vintage Historic District and a short walk to downtown and Douglas.
