Nature Contained Workshop at Saugatuck Center for the Arts
There’s no better way to celebrate the coming of spring (and soon, the summer!) than to get in touch with your inner nature-lover. Whether it’s garden-fresh herbs to cook with or the sweet aromas of the fields of spring flowers, the season is truly the most beautiful. During your stay with us at The Hotel Saugatuck, spend a morning in the tranquil garden space of the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.
On June 20th, Lead Garden Liaison Scott Jacobs offers a hands-on workshop called Nature Contained that will inspire you to be creative with your planters all season long! Learn the ins and outs of repurposed and reclaimed containers as Scott shows you step-by-step how to upcycle funky and unique containers into your own vibrant garden.
From old shoes and tires to baskets and ceramic teapots, your container garden is only limited by your imagination. In the workshop, you’ll also learn about soil, how to identify plants by texture, season conditions and changes for your container, as well as how to find more materials to repurpose. Besides enjoying yourself, you’re also learning a new skill that helps recycle our waste and keep trash out of landfills.
Guests will also enjoy complimentary morning snacks and coffee during the workshop. For more information on the Nature Contained workshop at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, visit the website and reserve your seat today! Nature Contained will be held on June 20, 2018 at 9:00AM.
