It's Opening Day at Michigan's Largest Antique Show
After you’ve enjoyed your homemade gourmet breakfast delivered to your lake view room or cottage at our luxury bed and breakfast, take a leisurely thirty-minute drive to nearby Allegan and be one of the first to visit Michigan’s largest antique show starting April 26th. Antiques Magazine rates the Allegan Antiques Market “One of the Ten Best Shows in America” and draws antique lovers from across the Midwest. With primitives and fine jewelry, salvaged architectural pieces and beautifully preserved furniture, four hundred dealers are on display within seven large buildings, as well as outside beneath a field of canvas tents. No matter your decorating taste, you’ll find unique pieces that represent every design trend from architectural to country, industrial to primitive and shabby chic to refurbished.
The show, located at the Allegan County Fairgrounds, originally opened in 1978 and has grown over the last 42 years to include an extensive variety of antiques and collectibles, as well as exhibitors specializing in glass, pottery, china, advertising, sport and fishing, and furniture. Enjoy the hunt for that personal treasure to add to your collection. Admission is only $4 per person and parking is free. Show hours are 8 am to 4 pm the last Sunday of each month beginning April 26th through September.
And when you return to The Hotel Saugatuck, you can relax in front of your fireplace with a glass of wine and admire your one-of-a-kind treasure.
