Originally built in 1925 by the fortune of Dorr Felt, the inventor of the first key-driven mechanical calculator, the famous Felt Mansion is one of the Saugatuck area’s most visited Can't-miss attractions. The historic estate, nestled in the rolling dunes between Holland and Saugatuck, consists of 25 rooms, three floors, an extravagant ballroom, carved woodworking, a formal dining room, a library, and a mahogany fireplace. Admire the 1920s-era style and glamor as you take a step back in time at the Felt Mansion.
Immerse yourself in the interesting story of Dorr Felt, learn about the invention of the Comptometer, and admire the beauty of the architecture and interior decor. Holiday Guided Evening tours are available Friday and Saturday evenings; Afternoon Holiday Guided Tours are available Sunday afternoons; self-guided tours are available in the afternoon during the week. On December 13th, the Taste and Tour event features local beers from New Holland Brewing and Fenn Valley wines, as well as a guided tour, and a concert by the Backseat Drivers.
