Harvest Time in Holland, Michigan
Visit Saugatuck’s neighbor this October for Downtown Holland’s Fall Fest. Celebrate your favorite things about the fall like pumpkins and jack-o-lantern carvings as well as some of the best food of the year. Visit the Farmers Market or stroll through the beautiful downtown; harvest time in Holland doesn’t get any better than this!
You will see some of the best pumpkin carvers in the United States in Holland this October for the festival’s highlight, the jack-o-lantern carving competition. With some previews starting Friday between 3 PM and 7 PM and the display of jack-o-lanterns downtown with candlelight after dusk, you will barely be able to wait for the competition’s main event on Saturday from 10 AM-1 PM at the Farmers Market. Meet World Champion ice sculptor, Chad Hartson, as well as other professional pumpkin carvers, sculptors, and TV contestants from the Food Network’s hit show, Halloween Wars. They’ve all come to Holland’s Fall Fest to prove their prowess and enter the pumpkin carving history books. To view a full list of participants and read their bios, visit the Holland Fall Fest website.
Besides the pumpkin carvers in the spotlight at Saturday’s Farmer’s Market, find locally-sourced ingredients to take home, take a hay ride, or shop for seasonal décor. The Holland Farmers Market has fresh baked goods, bouquets of flowers, honey, herbs, spices, and much more. Grab a light lunch or browse through the fresh produce that has just been harvested. View more information like a list of market goods and a map of the market at the Holland Farmers Market website.
Holland Fall Fest will be held on October 13 and 14 in downtown Holland. For a schedule of events and more information, visit the Holland Fall Fests website.
