Bittersweet Ski Resort in Otsego has seven chair lifts that whisk skiers to the top of the mountain to experience the resort's 20 runs and 350 vertical feet. With more than 100 skiable acres, it offers a great mix of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. Wind your way through the tree-lined terrain on beginner, intermediate and advanced runs. Need a lesson? Bittersweet's Ski School has certified instructors to guide you, whether it's your first time on skis or you want to build on your skills. When the sun goes down and the lights come on, the atmosphere changes into a night skiing wonderland. When it's time to warm up, the indoor lodge is where you'll find the restaurant, bar and full-service ski shop. Outside, relax on the heated slope-side patio by the fire pit and grab a bite to eat at the outdoor grill.
Timber Ridge Ski Resort in Gobles is Southwest Michigan's oldest ski area, celebrating 60 years of downhill fun in a friendly atmosphere. With 40 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain, Timber Ridge offers multiple beginner hills, numerous intermediate slopes, a multitude of wooded trails, expert runs, and two terrain parks. Not comfortable with the idea of skiing? Give snow tubing a try! Timber Ridge has a snow tubing park, where you can grab an inflatable snow tube, take the tube lift up to the top of the hill, and slide down one of three tubing lanes. To mark its 60th year providing guests with the ultimate winter pastime, Timber Ridge has invested in some improvements, including new trails, an expanded snow tube hill, improved racing hill, new conveyer lifts for beginner and snow tube hills, and doubling the beginner skier acreage.
